Medical practitioner arrested in Talawakelle

An illegal medical practitioner who operated a medical center in the Talawakale town has been arrested.
Medical Officer of Health in Lindula, Kotagala Dr. Janath Abeygunaratne said the individual has operated the medical centre for six years.

He stated that the raid was conducted based on complaints received by  patients on allergies
that have been caused on using the drugs prescribed by the suspect.

The 60-year-old suspect is due to be produced before the Thalawakale Magistrate.
