Steps to compile a national policy on national heritage

The Ministry of National Heritage has planned to compile a national policy on national heritage.

Minister Jagath Balasuriya said a committee comprising of specialists will be appointed in this regard.

Accordingly, lecturers of universities and leaders of other religions are due to be appointed to this committee.

The minister stated that a policy on national heritage is being implemented in every country.

The committee is due to hold discussions on protecting those things that identify Sri Lanka.
